Dr. Tashi Samdup brings more than 29 years of work experience with the Royal Government of Bhutan and Corporate World. He holds a Bachelor in Animal Science from Kerala Agriculture University, India, MSc in Animal Science and PhD in Animal Production System from Wageningen Agriculture University, Holland. He is the Chairman of KIL Board and serves as an Independent Non Executive Director on KIL Board. He serves as the Director General of Bhutan Agriculture and Food Regularity Authority (BAFRA).

Mr.Pempa Tshering, Honorable Director
Mr.Pempa Tshering has a bachular degree in Information Technology from Sherubtse College (Delhi University) and Master’s degree in Business Administration and Human Resource Management from the University of Newcastle,Australia. Prior to joining DHI in 2019, he worked for 15 years in the ICT and the HR Department of Bhutan Power Corporation Lomited. Currently he is serving as a Senior Analysis in the Planning and Monitoring Division of DHI.

He has Graduated with Master of Science in Communication for Innovation and Development(MSc.Comm. Innov. Dev.) from the University of Reading, UKand Graduated with Doctor Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from University of Bologna, Italy.He has 16 years of successful work experience in the government of Bhutan. His venture in the field of animal science started as Dzongkhag livestock officer of Trashiyangtse and Trashigang Dzongkhag since 2002.After selfless dedication and commitment shown to his work he was gradually promoted and appointed as a program Director of RLDCL at Kanglung in the year 2011. Indeed, his journey was not only to venture and accomplished the development of every dairy farm present in eastern part of our country but also to commercialized the dairy goods through industrialization linking the core ideas of self-sustainability.Therefore, he served as board director of KIL in the year 2017. He actively participated in developing KIL dairy processing plant formulating conceptual ideas and studying its feasibility as a counterpart of Government representing Department of Livestock in the region
